Serving Northern Illinois Al-Anon Family Groups (NIAFG) is an honor and a privilege. And, we never have to serve alone. The upcoming September 16, 2023 Assembly is an Election Assembly.

Group Representatives are the electors. Does your group have a GR? Groups elect new GRs and new Alternate GRs. GRs elect new District Representatives and Alternate DRs. Will your GR attend the assembly and vote on behalf of your group?

In Al-Anon, we practice rotation of service. We will be choosing new Officers for the next 3 years. Panel 64 Officers include the Delegate, Alternate Delegate, Area Chairperson, Area Recording Secretary, Area Treasurer, Area Group Records Secretary. These are important leadership positions.

If you have served as a DR, preferably for a complete term, you are eligible to stand for one of the 6 officer positions. Refer to the 2022-2025 Al-Anon/Alateen Service Manual, NIAFG Guidelines for AWSC Positions and WSO Guidelines G-11, G-36 and G-37.

We need a head count for breakfast and lunch. If you are going to come face-to-face, please drop a text to the Recording Secretary at 815 790-0921 or email to secretary@niafg.org. Also, bring a dish to pass or dessert.
