Al-Anon Member Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) Certification Training

Tuesday, April 23 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Zoom

Join us for an opportunity to become certified (or re-certified) as an Al-Anon Member Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS) or Alateen Group Sponsor

REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN ALATEEN GROUP SPONSOR ARE:

• To be 21 years or older
• Currently attending at least one Al-Anon meeting a week (in addition to any Alateen meetings)
• Actively attending Al-Anon for at least two years (not including time in Alateen)
• In regular contact with YOUR Al-Anon Sponsor
• Read booklet “Supervision of Children and Teens Never Includes Sex” prior to the training session.
• Attend a complete AMIAS/Alateen Group Sponsor Certification Training annually
• Receive a satisfactory result from a criminal background check
• Read and abide by the NIAFG Alateen Safety and Behavioral (S&B) Requirements (This is part of the required readings to be done prior to attending the training and is available on the NIAFG website at this link.)
